Arthritis aid for large dogs
We own two 100+ lb. dogs, and I’m always concerned about keeping their arthritis under control. They receive glucosamine-supplemented food, Cosequin DS tablets, and Rimadyl, but I know there’s still room for improvement in their comfort level. That’s why I was intrigued by a new product called LB Petaprin, a natural supplement which will help combat the symptoms of arthritis, yet which only requires one tablet per day for a large dog. That’s a nice change from the 3 or more tablets required by some other supplements. The product costs $49.99 for 60 pills, and if you pre-order, you’ll get free shipping. I haven’t tried the product, so this isn’t an endorsement, but I intend to. I’ll report back when I have some results.

PetSummary.com - keep your pet’s records organized
A couple of months ago I received an email from Cole Kelly about his new service called Pet Summary. The service is designed to allow pet owners to keep their pet’s contact information and medical records in a central location. The information can be accessed in the event of an emergency, but you can also print it out in the form of a “PetSum Card™” and give it to petsitters, kennels, a new vet’s office, etc.

Free cat litter from Dr. Elsey’s
There’s no cat litter I love more than Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat. I use Cat Attract when I’m training foster kittens to use the litterbox, and use regular Precious Cat Ultra for the rest of the cats in our house. I like that it clumps, but is unscented. I was browsing the Precious Cat website to see if I could buy the litter in larger quantities, and I noticed they’re offering a rebate form. Buy any Precious Cat product, and they’ll refund your purchase price, so it’s like you’re trying the product for free. I’m truly impressed with this litter, and use it for all 10 cats in my household, and encourage you to give it a try. Chatterbowl
Chatterbowl is a talking pet food dish, designed to ease anxiety in dogs who don’t like being left home alone. I think the neatest part of the product is simply the “Talk Box”, a small recording/playback device which activates a pre-recorded message when the light-sensor is triggered. You can buy extra Talk Boxes from the Chatterbowl website, and I think they’d be a great thing to try for the guilt-addled cat who jumps on the kitchen counter in your absence. I haven’t tried this product, but I’d be interested in seeing if my dogs or cats responded to the sound of my pre-recorded voice.

From basic buffered aspirin for dogs to supplements like SynoviFlex and Missing Link, their selection is varied and the prices are competitive. This isn’t exactly a pet bargain, but it could help you pay for pet food. AGLOCO is a new “get paid to surf” program which is now in beta testing, and which will launch when it has 10000000 signups. You’ll download a special toolbar, surf up to five hours per month, and get paid for your surfing. The amount you’ll be paid is small, but you can make more by referring others, as you’re paid for two levels of referrers. I of course can’t verify that this program is not a scam, but it’s run by a company which originated the pay-to-surf concept about seven years ago, so hopefully they know what they’re doing!
